Ontario County Busted Mugshots is a private reference website, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody, arrange a release or bond, retrieve official booking records, or act for an agency. Direct those needs to the appropriate public office below.

Official Ontario County Contacts and Record Routes

Use 911 for an emergency. For non-emergency public-safety matters, records, or custody questions, choose the office that holds the information. The office address and telephone details below are drawn from County and City sources. No current Sheriff, Jail, or Records office hours were verified in the research, so call before traveling or sending documents.

Records Division and County FOIL

Ontario County Sheriff’s Office Records Division, 74 Ontario Street, Canandaigua, NY 14424-1898
Records line: 585-396-4618
Email: records@ontariocountyny.gov
Fax: 585-393-2933
Use the Ontario County FOIL page for current submission instructions. The County describes acknowledgment within five business days, a 25-cent paper-copy charge, and a 30-day written appeal to the Board Chair when access is denied or redacted. It advises requesters to await notice of any charge before paying.

Canandaigua Police Records

Canandaigua Police Department, 21 Ontario Street, Canandaigua, NY 14424
Telephone: 585-396-5035
For a City-held police report, use the official Canandaigua Police FOIL form. City police records and a County jail booking can be held by different offices.

  • For current county or state custody, begin with the Ontario County incarcerated-person locator and the NYS DOCCS lookup. The latter is for people in state correctional custody, not a complete county booking history.
  • For an Ontario County Sheriff or jail-held report, use the Records Division and FOIL route. A narrow request should identify the person, approximate date, arresting agency, municipality, and report number if known.
  • For a City of Canandaigua police report, use the City police records process. For Victor or Farmington, identify the arresting agency first because the research did not locate a standalone town police roster.
  • For a court date, disposition, warrant question, or legal advice, contact the relevant court, the Ontario County Clerk, or a qualified attorney. Jail staff cannot decide a legal outcome.
  • For a federal detainee, use the Federal Bureau of Prisons inmate locator. For ICE custody or certain recent ICE or CBP custody, use the ICE Online Detainee Locator System.
